Teaching

My pledges as your teacher:

Have fun and create a positive, joyful learning environment.

Meet each student where they are and move at a pace specific to them and their needs.

Create a community of learning for both parents and students.

Provide regular opportunities for students to perform. Music is for sharing and celebrating!

Empower and facilitate parents in confidently helping student practice.

Build a personal relationship with you!

Lesson Rates

Lesson TimeCost
30 minutes$30
45 minutes$45
60 minutes$60

Payment is due by each lesson. Planned absences must be communicated with me at least one month in advance. If a student is sick or missing for another unplanned reason, I will offer a video lesson, send practice videos, or see if I can fit the student in at a different time that week.

I recommend that beginners start out with 30-minute lessons. Students who have previous experience playing or participate in an orchestra will probably benefit from a 45-minute lesson, but we can determine that in the first few weeks.

Group Classes

Currently, group classes will be charged individually, as they are offered, for those who participate in each class.

Students

I teach all students from age 4 and older. I will consider teaching a 3-year-old if they are highly motivated to learn the cello. I also have experience teaching adult students.
